On May 25, 2025, the Board of the Zionist Federation of Ukraine (ZFU) decided to abolish the position of Honorary President of the organization.

According to board members, this step is part of a broader modernization process aimed at aligning the ZFU’s structure with the practices of European and global Zionist federations, where such a position does not exist.
